a long long project in the planning that finally came to fruition last week. many, many designs later we settled on this. the clients had spent quite some time living in Amsterdam so it is only fitting that Mondrian has a place in their new, huge , modern home.
i have always loved Mondrian's designs but they are nearly ubiquitous now. i've seen pub toilets that are Mondrian inspired! anyway the opportunity presented itself to make something interesting out of a fairly basic storage cabinet and while there were plenty of technical issues with the construction and hardware of the doors we are all pleased with the result.
